What is the voucher system?
Voucher systems involve “Education Vouchers” that represent a portion of government funding towards a school that the student or family chooses.
Why we vote no to vouchers:
- Shows no connection to improved academic performance.
- Takes away funding from already underfunded public schools.
- Costs taxpayers more
- Eliminates barrier between church and state.
- Private schools don’t always have to account for money spent.
- Private schools can show favoritism/discriminate.
- Parents lose say in how their child is educated.
